Hairline Fracture
I had a motorcycle collision in September 2004, where I was shown on x-ray by both the doctor and the x-ray technician, a hairline fracture on the fibular lateral malleolus (the outside bulge on the ankle bone). It was a very small fracture, but readily apparent in the film. I was put in a temporary splint, and sent to my regular hospital for follow-up treatment. Four days later, I was re x-rayed, and while there was still severe bone bruising and major soft tissue damage, there was NO evidence of the hairline fracture.
The doctors had no explanation for how the bone fracture had healed so quickly, but all doctors from both hospitals agreed that my first x-ray had a fracture, my second x-ray did not. I take both TrueBlue Coral Calcium and Kitchen Sink, along with generic Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate daily. I was out of a walking cast in one week, out of a walking boot one week later, and out of a sport brace four weeks after that. The soft tissue damage is. T.
